Spiritueuse Double Vanille is a unisex oriental fragrance launched in 2007 by Guerlain, composed by legendary perfumer Jean-Paul Guerlain himself as part of the prestigious L'Art & La Matière collection. Widely regarded as one of the finest vanilla fragrances ever created and a near-mythical cult classic in the fragrance community, it delivers a breathtakingly complex and deeply indulgent profile — inspired by a Paul Gauguin painting of Tahiti — combining a spiced smoky opening of incense, pink pepper and bergamot, an exotic floral heart of Bulgarian rose, jasmine and ylang-ylang, and a magnificent base of Madagascan vanilla planifolia, benzoin and rum that wraps around the skin like the most decadent, smoky, boozy vanilla imaginable.
