Description

Cartier Pasha de Cartier is a fougère-aromatic fragrance for men released in 1992. It blends lavender, mint, and anise with warm woody amber and soft musk, creating a clean yet slightly sweet classic masculine profile that feels elegant, structured, and distinctly vintage.

Notes

Top: Lavender, Mint, Caraway, Anise
Heart: Coriander, Brazilian Rosewood, Labdanum
Base: Oakmoss, Sandalwood, Patchouli, Musk

The fragrance opens with a sharp aromatic burst of lavender and mint, giving an immediate cooling freshness that feels clean, barbershop-like, and highly structured. Anise and caraway introduce a subtle sweet-spicy licorice nuance that distinguishes it from standard fougères.

As it develops, coriander and rosewood bring a warm spicy-woody heart, while labdanum adds a soft resinous amber depth. This stage smooths the sharper aromatics, creating a more rounded and slightly sweet masculine character.

In the dry-down, oakmoss and sandalwood form a classic chypre-fougère base with patchouli and musk adding earthy warmth and soft skin-like texture. The result is a stable, long-lasting woody aromatic foundation that feels refined and traditional.

The overall effect is a fresh aromatic fougère with herbal sweetness and warm woody amber depth that feels timeless, elegant, and classically masculine, strongly associated with 1990s French masculine perfumery structure.
